Help to Buy: Equity loan to end in 2023 

First-time buyers who want to take advantage of the government’s Help to Buy scheme will have to reserve a property by 31^st October 2022.

The scheme, which offers an equity loan to buyers with a deposit of just 5%, is due to end on 31^st March 2023. To be eligible for equity loan funding you must legally complete and get the keys to your home by 31^st March 2023.

In London, buyers can get a loan worth up to 40% of a property price (up to £600,000).  In the East of England, buyers can get a loan worth up to 20% of a property price (up to to £407,400).
